Agriculture Ministry suggests raising wheat export duty from Mar 15
MOSCOW, Jan 13 (PRIME) -- The Russian Agriculture Ministry has suggested raising the wheat export duty to 45 euros per tonne from March 15 and to introduce duties on corn and barley, the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
"Raising export duties in the grain tariff quota was discussed at the past meeting in the Economic Development Ministry,” it said.
“The Agriculture Ministry suggested keeping the rates for the amounts under the quota unchanged on February 15, 2021 -- wheat at 25 euros per tonne, rye, barley, corn at zero," the ministry said.
"To set a wheat export duty at 45 euros per tonne from March 15, 2021, for corn at 25 euros per tonne, for barley 10 euros per tonne, for rye zero," the ministry said.
The customs and tariffs regulation committee plans to consider the issue on Friday.
